Growing up I always wanted to be only two things. A writer and a detective. Now I get to do both.

I discovered my love of writing through reading. My favorite books growing up were the Trixie Beldon series. When I had read them all, I wanted more so I wrote my own. That was the beginning……

All my story ideas start with a what if scenario….I drop ordinary characters into extraordinary circumstances and watch their journey. George RR Martin once described writers as either architects or gardeners. I’m definitely not an architect --- I’m a gardener. I start with a vague idea and a destination with no real plan of how to get there. Sometimes I’m just as surprised by what my characters say and do as the reader. My characters talk to me, some of them more than others. They keep me up at night.  I’m here to tell their story and share their voice.
